About Our Organization

Latimer Reservation is a 1550 acre facility located in the most pristine wilderness area of Tennessee. The pure beauty of the Tennessee Mountains surrounds our property. Many areas for camping, backpacking and high adventure programs exist. We are surrounded by more than 50,000 acres owned by the Tennessee Parks Division, Tennessee State Forestry Division and the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency. Collaboration with these agencies has been established for use by Latimer High Adventure Reservation. To the east of our property lies the Bee Creek Basin of Scott’s Gulf, to the north west of our property lies Scott’s Pinnacle and the Caney Fork River, to the north lies the Bridgestone/Firestone Centennial Wilderness Area operated by the TWRA and to the south lies Fall Creek Falls State Park. The purpose of Latimer Reservation is to meet the growing need for high risk adventure programs for the teenagers of today. Our mission is to instill ethical values in young people that will help them make the right decisions throughout their lives and to be visionary to the point that they will expect more than others think is possible of themselves.
